"Hey, Garney's web page!" So I clicked it and of course it took me to Myspace.

I had my headphones cranked up and all of a sudden I hear a song which had fax machine/modem sounds in the intro. I was freaking out and fumbling with the fax machine trying to stop whatever it was that was being sent...and thinking "WHY WON'T IT STOP? I think the latter is a pretty perfect record.

I don't think I could pick an absolute favorite album. I guess if I were forced, it would probably be "Vs." by Pearl Jam. Or maybe Springsteen's "Born to Run." *sigh* I don't know.BeckEyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00119780316809151433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-17385143379156725002008-03-12T19:09:00.000-07:002008-03-12T19:09:00.000-07:00This one is a little easier for me. These ones are all dig-though-the-pile-worthy for me.

1) Zepplin - Houses of the Holy
2) Boston - Third Stage
3) Abba - Gold
4) Iron Maiden - No Prayer For the Dying
5) (tie) Guns n' Roses - Appetite For Destruction & Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell

Despite my rather erudite nature, I've been known to bang my head a bit. Which may explain a bit.doorknob_danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13593165510284550311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-59792783759935750812008-03-12T18:46:00.000-07:002008-03-12T18:46:00.000-07:001. In My Life is my all time favorite song ever, right up there with Too $hort's Don't Fight the Feelin'.

2. Blueprint, Jay Z
This is pretty much tied with Rubber Soul as the best album ever made. It's the album that made me fall in love with the artist Jay Z, who I've traveled the country to see live more times than I can count! "Yeah you shinin'/but the only thing you leavin' out/You're a candle in the sun/That shit don't even out."

3. Little Earthquakes, Tori Amos
I discovered Tori in middle school and haven't been the same since. This whole album is just AWESOME.

4. Future Sex/Love Sounds, Justin Timberlake
I love this album and it's even better live in concert. If you have doubts, just give this one a listen minus the over played SexyBack and I think you will see Justin in a whole new light. Justified, his first album, is right up there too.

5. Mary, Mary J Blige
Mary wrote this album about me and about my life when it came out. I love me some Mary.

I can't stop at 5...

6. Lovers Rock, Sade
Sade has been in some of the same relationships I have, I swear. She is one of my favorite artists ever. And she's amazing in concert. I saw this tour twice and I'm in the audience of the DVD!

7. Voodoo, D'Angelo
Brilliant, funky, and so different than any other sound out there with a very raw and earthy vibe. Plus it gave us the song "Untitled" which led to the naked video. THANK YOU for that.

8. Thriller, Michael Jackson
So many hits, best selling of all time, the videos, the dancing, what more can I say?

9. Songs in A Minor, Alicia Keys
I love singing along to this album. And it's a great introduction to the greatness that is Alicia Keys.

10. Get a Grip, Aerosmith
Eat the Rich, Living on the Edge, Get a Grip plus the Cryin'/Crazy/Amazing trilogy of Alicia Silverstone videos! This tour was my second concert ever and the first time I ever got drunk. Ah good times at the Sport Arena.

11. (tie) Celebrity and No Strings Attached, N*Sync
Think what you want but you can listen to these all the way through and they are GREAT. It's Gonna Be Me, Digital Get Down, I Thought She Knew (No Strings) and Pop, Celebrity, Gone (Celebrity) and on and on...the list of N*Sync jams just doesn't stop!

12. (tie) Rainbow and The Emancipation of Mimi, Mariah Carey
Mariah is one of the best voices ever and she writes all her own songs! Whitney aint shit!! Rainbow introduced the new hip hop Mariah. Heartbreaker, Crybaby (love this song!), X-Girlfriend all showed the new side of this slow song girl. On Mimi, the first 3 songs alone (It's Like That, We Belong Together (one of my fav songs ever) and Shake It Off) are JAMS and the rest of the album doesn't disappoint!

13. Janet, Janet Jackson
The hits from this album: That's the Way Love Goes, If, Throb, Again, Where Are You Now, Any Time, Any Place...this was the album that made Miss Janet no longer in the shadow of her brothers and a superstar in her own right.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17608847561908425919noreply@blogger.com
