It's entertaining, and they'll pretty much get you as drunk as you want before you leave. I quite enjoyed it.

Plus, it was one of the last beer-related things that I've ever done before the hops-allergy took over.

I forgot that I also really liked Stone's Smoked Porter. See what happens when you go through your beer-tasting notes while waxing nostalgic for the good old days?MJenkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12761003604210840898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-87571349399242174252009-10-09T16:08:23.446-07:002009-10-09T16:08:23.446-07:00Nerd Alert: There was a really good New Yorker ar...Nerd Alert: There was a really good New Yorker article about beer a few months back that focused a lot on Dogfish Head. I'm sure interested parties can find it on the New Yorker's Web siteLizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15015538168721175794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-29034481850597072342009-10-08T15:59:46.640-07:002009-10-08T15:59:46.640-07:00I've had Green Flash. I also like Red Hook's IPA and ESB. A new beer-oriented tavern just opened up about 100 yards from my front door (Hallelujah!) and they had a wicked good beer called Green Flash West Coast IPA. If you ever see it, try it.

I also like Dogfish Head, and since they are from home they are doubly good.words...words...words...https://www.blogger.com/profile/02441563723665841808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-72183559736737353252009-10-08T11:14:41.573-07:002009-10-08T11:14:41.573-07:00I tend to like super hoppy beers.
I'm pretty ...I tend to like super hoppy beers.

I'm pretty sure I've tried Dogfish Head at some point, but as I don't specifically remember it, I can't say it's a favorite.

I will give a shout out to Louisiana's Abita beers. I sampled every style I could find on my recent vacation and really enjoyed them all.Redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17215626415816734165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4718863591862783655.post-58107757385073132292009-10-08T11:09:40.116-07:002009-10-08T11:09:40.116-07:00Sorry. I would, however, rank San Diego second.

And, Arrogant Bastard is my favorite of Stone's brews. The rest are almost offensively overhopped, which is strange, coming from a guy who (used to) love him some hops.

My favorite microbrewer was (and, since I can't drink any other) and always will be Dogfish Head. 60 minute, 90 minute, 120 minute...I don't care.
