Happy Tax Day!

Well?

Big Freaking Day!

Have you still not seen The Hurt Locker? Get on that! It's on DVD. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSES!!!

So the Oscar nominations are out. They're okay, I guess. Glad to see A Serious Man on the Best Picture list. Dying inside from two (TWO!) nominations for Best Song for Randy Newman. I hate that guy. Every time I see his name in the opening credits of a movie I think, "Man, this movie is gonna suck!" (which is rarely true, of course, because he's scored some really great films, but I contest he had absolutely nothing to do with their greatness) and it was true one time...when I watched Michael. (Christ Almighty, look at that movie poster! Crazy eyes Travolta and a dog with a feather in it's mouth. Good Lord, what a crapfest!)

Anyway, in even bigger news, the final season of Lost debuts tonight!!! I can't wait!!! What will happen? Will we finally understand all the mysteries of the island? Do we really even want to? What question are you most hoping to have answered? (If you say, "Where's Claire?" I will say, "Who effing cares?! She is boring without Charlie" and I will be correct...as usual.)

Finally, in horribly tragic news, I just did my taxes and I OWE money for the first time ever. This gives Red a sad face...

Of course, being reunited with John Locke in mere hours gives Red a happy face. Mmmmmm...John Locke...

This (mostly) Just In...

ABC to Air Pushing Daisies Finale - Beginning May 30, ABC will air the final 3 episodes of GitW favorite Pushing Daisies on Saturday nights. Finally, we can see how things turn out for the pie maker and his undead love.

Oral Sex Linked Cancer - Sorry fellas. Since most of you are now HPV carrier monkeys, scientists say you can transfer the cancer causing virus to your partners in...how do I put this delicately...multiple orifices. As Miranda woulds say, "Use a condom!"

Further Proof Twitter is Lame - An new study shows Twitter can numb people's sense of morality and compassion, as it takes more time for the brain to process such emotions than an interface like Twitter allows. Sounds like a bit of a stretch, but any excuse to bag on Twitter works for me.

Harry Potter and the Ever Changing Release Date - Originally due out last fall, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will finally open on July 15th. Get your wands ready! (I have no idea what that's meant to mean.)

It's Tax Day - I always file my taxes in, like, February so I often forget Tax Day, but if you still need to file, you might want to get on that pronto!

This (mostly) Just In...

(If you haven't noticed, this is the title I'm using for a semi-weekly link dump or link-o-rama or whatever the cool sports boys call it.)

Miley Cyrus is a Ho - Apparently, she's "so embarrassed" about the risque shot to the left, appearing in Vanity Fair. It is a bit suggestive for a 15 year-old, but I mean, she looks 20, so whatever. She's just bein' Miley.

Coldplay is Giving it up for Free
- The new Coldplay single is out and available for free download. It sounds almost exactly like all their other stuff.

Florida finally does something not completely retarded - There is a bill in the Florida Senate to ban fake testicles on truck hitches. Sure, there are other, more important issues facing out nation to day, but I can't think of any at the moment.

It's Free Cone Day! - Stop by your local Ben & Jerry's to receive a free ice cream cone. If you don't have a local Ben & Jerry's, move to a real city, damn it.

I spent thousands in taxes and all I got was this lousy check - The Economic Stimulus Checks are on their way (Dave asked me the other day when they were coming. He said "I need to be stimulated." Men). I plan on putting mine in my 30th Birthday Party Fund (and thereby completely ignoring the actual purpose of the check for several months). What are you gonna do with yours?

This (mostly) Just In...

Some stuff you probably already know and/or don't even care about:

Wesley Snipes will Spend 3 years in Jail for Tax Evasion - This might be disappointing if Wesley had made a good movie since White Men Can't Jump, but alas, he has not.

Megan Fox Named the Sexiest Woman in the World - I would argue the sexiness of Shia LaBeouf rubbed off on Megan when they made Transformers and made her appear sexier than she really is. ..because he is super sexy. Also, I'd take Scar Jo over this chick any day.

Jimmy Fallon will Host Late Night when Conan O'Brien takes over for Leno
- I know most people hate Jimmy Fallon for Fever Pitch, but I'm kinda excited about this. And it will be nice when Leno is just a distant bad memory.

Tom Cruise is Returning to Oprah - In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Risky Business (which makes me feel old), Oprah will spend two days with the Scientologist. Couch jumping is a given.

Amy Winehouse Arrested for Assault - Can this women get anymore tragic? Talk about a hot tranny mess.

See how he's transferring the sexiness here? See?

Happy Tax Day!

I hope you don't "have to" pay Uncle Sam a dime. However, if you do, you must make more than I do, so I don't really feel bad for you anyway.

"Pay your taxes so I can afford an iphone!"

No Taxation, Period

With tax season upon us, here's a film about taxes and how we don't really have to pay them. Basically, Aaron Russo interviews ex-IRS agents and examines US law, only to discover there is no law requiring people to pay taxes. It's a pretty interesting film and a very interesting subject. I already filed my taxes (and got my return...and bought a new TV) so I can't take advantage of this information (and by "take advantage" I mean refuse to pay your taxes, spend years in your later life battling the IRS, only to win a court case, but lose everything you own), but maybe you can. Don't say I never gave you anything.

Yes, it's a full length film.
