Screw you, ABC!

[Insert lame pun about death here]

It turns out Gingers is the Watchword and our fabulous readers have even less clout than we thought, as our desperate pleas have gone unanswered: ABC has cancelled Pushing Daisies.

Word came down today that ABC has axed Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone (one of Red's personal favs which, I must admit, I never got into) and Dirty, Sexy, Money (another decent show which I now feel guilty about, because I used to watch it and, through no fault of the show, I stopped).

Dancing with the Stars, on the other hand, is still among the living. Ain't life grand?

An outrage! An OUTRAGE I SAY! They better give the show a chance to at least tie up the loose ends, of which there are approximately eleventy million.

I don't understand, the show was doing quite well in the ratings last year. I guess the strike stunted its momentum. Way to go, writers. I hope that Gucci leash for your Shih Tzu was worth it.

At least Pushing Daisies got farther than Wonderfalls did.

Eli Stone lost a lot of it's spark this year and I'm not too sad to see it go. PD, on the other hand, I will miss terribly. Bryan Fuller is cursed with way too much charm, apparently.

Ahh, Wonderfalls. A show with so much potential. That one was a shame, WWW. Pushing Daisies will finish out the year.

So original shows like Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone and The Ex List get canceled, but 14 versions of Law & Order and CSI still live on.

This is exactly why I now only watch cable shows.

I'm upset about this, too. I liked Pushing Daisies because it was fun and unique, but sadly, TV execs only care about revenue, not creativity.

Aw shit. That's the kind of news one hears on a Wednesday (worst day of the week), not a Saturday. Christ on a bike.

Have you all learned nothing? Don't ever watch a show until ten years after it was on the air, and you'll never have to get upset about it being canceled. Incidentally, I've heard good things about this show called "Cheers," and I may look into it soon.

Crap. crap crap crap crap. Obviously we need to work on our clout.

Perhaps, to make Dancing with the Stars more interesting, they can kill the person who gets the least votes, instead of just voting them off the show. I would definitely watch it then.

I stopped watching Dirty Sexy Money because I didn't think it was that good. Pushing Daisies will be missed but hopefully Heroes will improve with Fuller back on the writing staff. I'll also miss Eli Stone, but it probably only had maybe one more good season in it anyway before suffering some kind of David E Kelleyish farout and unsatisfying reach. Still Life goes on, and so does Life On Mars for now... and those are two great shows.
