Life on Mars Premieres Tonight - Having mentioned this US remake on several occasions, I am perhaps the most eager person in America for this show about a present day cop who wakes up in 1973 after an accident. He's not sure if he's dead or in a coma or has actually traveled back in time. I loved the BBC version, like, more than anything ever (except for it's spin-off Ashes to Ashes, which is even better). Here's hoping they haven't fraked it up.
The Riches is Canceled - In news only Garney and I care about, FX announced they will not be bringing the Eddie Izzard/Minnie Driver drama back for another season. It's a shame, really. Now where can we go for our gypsy, con-artist entertainment?!?
Happy Yom Kippur - To all our Jewish readers, I hope this Day of Atonement finds you, um, however you should be on Yom Kippur (mainly hungry, I'm guessing). In your honor, I'm signing up for JDate as someone willing to covert. You're welcome.

I heard that this show is supposed to be great.
Wait, the guy is from today but wakes up in 1973? That's actually kind of cool. I thought it was just either a cop drama set in the 70s or a spinoff of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" video. I may watch if I'm not angrily destroying things in a drunken rage because of baseball.
It is too bad about The Riches... that show had one or two more good seasons in it.
I've got the AmeriBritish trifecta set for DVR tonight with Life on Mars, Eleventh Hour and Kath & Kim. At least one of them has to be good.
I just set The 11th Hour to record, and has contemplating Life on Mars as well.
I'll atone next year for all the times I skipped your TV recommendations.
With all due respect I tuned into quite a few episodes of The Riches in the first season and it was terrible. It pained me how bad it was because I really like both Izzard and Driver. Anyway, another one bites the dust...
I'm recording Kath&Kim tonight as well, even though reviews have been terrible. What can I say a few of the commercials made me chuckle. Something about Molly Shannon calling herself a "trophy wife" is funny to me.
Awwww....
I liked The Riches! then again, I don't have very high standards.
