Add This to Your Queue: Taxi to the Dark Side

This will be short and sweet, as don't have time to write, yet feel compelled to move that embarrassing Facebook rant down the page.

Taxi to the Dark Side is a documentary about the treatment of prisoners in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay by US military personnel since the War on Terror began. It's incredibly disturbing and very well made (it won the Oscar for Best Documentary last year) and should pretty much be required viewing by all Americans. See it.

This may be the first time I've ever already had something in my queue that you've recommended. So this is what it sounds like when doves cry.

(Note: my queue does have like 400 movies on it, so at some point, statistically, it was bound to happen.)

Oh Dick Cheney, part of me's gonna miss you. (The masochistic part, but still)

I totally agree. It's a very powerful doc.

Sounds like something I need to see. Thanks for the heads up!

And once you watch TttDS, you can pretty much skip the inferior Standard Operating Procedure from Errol Morris, even though it's sure to get an Oscar nomination (but will most likely lose to Man On Wire).
