Inglourious Basterds comes out today and in honor of QT's latest flick, here are my Top 5 QT films:
5. Kill Bill: Vol. 1 - Yes, I know the 2 parts make one whole movie, but I way preferred this homage to Samurai movies over the David Carradine heavy, spaghetti western-esque Vol. 2.
4. Natural Born Killers - NBK brought together two of my favorite Hollywood filmmakers...Tarantino and Oliver Stone. QT is only responsible for the story here, but what a story it is.
3. Reservoir Dogs - Tarantino's first big thing, many people consider it his best work. While I totally enjoyed it, it's #3 on my list.
2. True Romance - Penned by QT and directed by Tony Scott, this is one of my all time favorites. Christian Slater totally peaked in 1993. Bonus points for a pre-Sopranos James Gandolfini.
1. Pulp Fiction - To say this movie changed my life could be an overstatement, but it's not. It sparked my love of film and Tarantino. I even drew a totally awesome rendition of the Jack Rabbit Slims scene and I don't draw!!! Absolutely in my top films of all time.
I'll be headed to the theater this weekend to see where Inglourious Basterds lands on the list. What about you?

I'll be seeing it in 5-and-a-half short hours. I can't believe we first started hearing about this back when he did "Jackie Brown."
I consider myself a Tarantino fan ("Reservoir Dogs" is my favourite) however, this one's gotten pretty lukewarm reviews and I don't even have the urge to see it. I hope they're all wrong and it's fab though.
I'm really stoked for this one. I heard some lukewarm reviews too, but I don't care. I'm hoping its one of those where the critics are hopelessy out of touch. It happens.
Love his movies.
And did McGone rise from the dead??
Yes, Pulp Fiction was brilliant. Thanks in no small part to a certain actor...John something or other.
Is BeckEye talking about all the bathroom scenes? Oh, wait... probably some other kind of John.
I will not be seeing the movie this weekend. I like Tarantino - I think the movie will be good. BUT I can't see it this weekend. We all know those hard core Tarantino fans will be blabbering behind me the whole time about some obscure reference. I don't care about the reference just let me watch the movie in silence.
1. Pulp Fiction. Duh.
2. Kill Bill.
3. The two-part CSI episode he wrote and directed. Astoundingly good.
4. Reservoir Dogs. It's good, but I think kind of overrated by film geeks because nobody saw it when it came out. They love that shit.
5. Crimson Tide. He did an uncredited rewrite of the script. Good enough for me!
Pulp Fiction changed my life too. I learned that when you hold someone at gunpoint in your car, be extra careful not to shoot them. Yep, there's not a day that goes by that I don't use that one.
I saw the movie and it was his best movie since Pulp Fiction.
I loved it, too, Del-V
