Congrats, Red

Congratulations to Red and her Rays for making it to the World Series. Somewhere, Cubs fans are crying bitterly .... even more than usual.

For those of you wondering (and I'm sure you are many), our friendship did manage to survive this series. Largely due to my epic class and grace in the face of defeat, of course.

All those weeks of fandom have FINALLY paid off for Red!

I was so glad that the Rays beat the Sox! I am sick of ESPN shoving "Red Sox Nation" down our throats.

Oh hey, they're still playing baseball?

Why no, I'm not bitter about my White Sox. Why do you ask?

I'm not crying bitterly, mostly because I knew the Cubs would find a new way to eff it all up.

Plus, I live in Durham and go to lots of Bulls games, so I'm familiar with these players enough that I don't feel bad rooting for them.

I love all the "longtime" Rays fans who hung in there through the lean years. Get a grip, Red. SAWX RULE!

At the risk of losing the right to call myself a New Yorker, I have to admit that I was rooting for the Sox.... partly because I think they're a good team. but mostly because I hate the Yankees. That still counts though, right?

Congrats, Lizard =)

For the record (again!), I've liked the Rays since last year and have email evidence wherein I called their place in the World Series on July 4th of this year...so, WWW and Mike, you can kiss my ass.

Thanks for being so gracious and wonderful Liz. You truly are a woman among women.

Congrats to the Sox for making it interesting, and for ensuring that I have no reason to watch the World Series. What will I do will all these evenings free again?

I still think you're making up this "Rays" team.

I hope you can at least join forces together to root for the Rays to beat the Philthies.
