Correction: Best Movies of 2009

Since we're making corrections around these parts, I need to amend my list of top films of the year. It should look like this...

10. Up
9. Star Trek
8. Fantastic Mr. Fox - Only Wes Anderson can make an animated movie so cool and hip. Hipster foxes? The cuss you say!
7. Zombieland
6. Food Inc.
5. Where the Wild Things Are
4. Up in the Air
3. Avatar - I have glimpsed the future and all I can say is, don't go back. Also, Sam Worthington, if you're reading this (and I'm sure you are!), I'd like to have 10,000 of your babies. Call me!
2. Hurt Locker
1. Inglorious Basterds

Thank you and good day.

I finally saw "Inglourious Basterds" at Christmas. I liked it way more than expected although I could've done without the Brad Pitt and his gang stuff, that didn't interest me much at all. But I loved the farm stuff at the beginning and the bar and the cinema stuff. It was riveting. The Brad stuff just seemed to be gratuitous - put in there to add some Tarantino stylized violence.

Veg: I agree. I mean, I liked the "Basterds" (who doesn't love someone called "Jew Bear") but the rest of the movie was way more compelling. The funny thing, though, is that it was marketed as Brad Pitt kicking ass and I think a lot of people were disappointed there was more to that. Stupid marketing campaigns.
