So after seeing Lauren Bacall on the Oscars last night IMMEDIATELY this song popped into my head and has been stuck ever since. Who remembers this song? Did your parents listen to it, maybe even fall in love? Were you then accidentally conceived during one foolish night of passion leading to your birth and what appears to be a life of perpetual misery and frustration?
JUST KIDDING...GiTW hearts the 80's and here's a video to PROVE IT-

Bertie Higgins is almost as bad a name as Englebert Humperdinck for a romantic singer! I had managed to forget that song. But it's all coming back now. Damn you, Dave!
But Words..."HERE'S LOOKIN AT YOU KID...JSUT LIKE ALL THE BLOGS WE DID..."
Ah Bertie Higgins' "Key Largo". This song used to be Muzak to my ears, but I kinda like it now. Just to counterbalance the schmaltz, I will sometimes pull out something hardcore from my CD collection... like The Partridge Family.
LOL damn people actually REMEMBER this song (props to Malcolm)...don't make me post some ENGLAND DAN...
Dave: If you are taking requests for England Dan and John Ford Coley, how about "Love Is the Answer" or "We'll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again"?
BOTH great tunes! Man I love this Seals & Crofts era isht.
BUT...the tune I was thinking was "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight"
I'm not talkin 'bout movin in and I don't wanna change your life...
What, no Bread?
I love "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight"... I even featured it on one of my shows as the Guilty Pleasure of the Week. I chose the other two because although they were big hits in their day, they seem to have fallen by the wayside.
I love the '80s but I EFFING HATE THAT SONG. ALways have. I think my sister had the 45.
