I know I’m one of about six people who cares about hockey, so I’ll keep this brief.
The Boston Bruins won their first playoff series in ten years last night, sweeping the hated Canadiens of Montreal. Yay! Now, back when I actually lived in Boston, the Bruins - mired in mediocrity - got this 18-year-old center named Patrice Bergeron, and there were all kinds of jokes about him not being able to drive and he had a big nose and it was all very, “Awww, isn’t he cute.”
Now that they’re winning, and the Bruins can finally get the time of day again in Boston, little Patrice is popping up everywhere in the local media, and Yowza! It appears he’s grown up!

Random Sports Crushes
Well done, sir. Well done indeed. Look and enjoy people. And try to watch a hockey game sometime, it really is a rad sport. Where else can you get this kind of thing ....

Um, he kinda looks like Eli Manning and, as we all know, Eli Sucks!
He does not look like Eli Manning! You take that back!
ELI MANNING RUINED HISTORY!!!
As a Senators fan by almost-marriage, I will be eagerly awaiting next season when we can hopefully get back to our winning ways. Until then, I'm cheering for the Canucks. But still, good luck you.
He does have a big nose. And he has a girl's name.
I used to follow hockey in the mid-'90s because I worked at a sports store and the Penguins were dominating the NHL at the time. (I hear they're doing well now too, but I'm clueless.) After I stopped working there though, I just couldn't keep following it. Nothing can keep my interest like football.
He looks like that dude from Firefly that makes all the girls weak in the knees. He also gets a concussion if he sneezes too hard.
The only reason I don't totally hate Eli Manning is that he managed to ruin history :)
Nathan Fillion!!!
Alright, I HATE sports. Hockey is the. only. sport. I will watch. And this is the reason why. Blood on the ice, there's really nothing quite like it.
Yeah Bruins!! I'm actually excited about playoff hockey for once. I feel bad for the B's, they're such an afterthought these days in beantown. Don't think I won't be jumping back on the bandwagon if they win the cup.
