Quote of the Week

I've been rather uninspired with the blogging lately. (Who knew being unemployed took up so much free time? The only thing I've really accomplished in two weeks is watching Six Feet Under season 1. My review? "Meh.") Well, it's about to get even lazier, people, as I start a new post "series" (read: something I am doing now out of laziness which may never be replicated) of things people have actually said to me. Let's start with this gem from my BFF Annie:

He asked you to yoga?!? In New York, that's like doing it!

Indeed...

I've eaten yogurt in NY. Does that count?

That reminds me of one of my favorite overheard conversation quotes, heard while walking down a street in San Francisco: "I'm just saying she should try to date someone with different beliefs. I mean I'm not saying she should date a REPUBLICAN or something, but just different, you know?"

Boo. No one's ever asked me to yoga.

And nothing is "meh" that features Jeremy Sisto.

Actually, yoga kind of is like doing it. You get twisted into weird positions, you sweat a lot, someone asks to see your downward dog, it happens in a room with lots of other people, and when it's over you go home wearing clothes that need to be laundered.

Wait. I think I may have said too much.

Are you watching Six Feet Under straight through? Do you have a friend that you can call when you want to jump off a bridge? Because that will be around season 3. Just have your speed dial handy.

I remember watching the first four episodes of Six Feet Under, getting ready to go back to the video store for the next DVD, then thinking en route: "Wait. Do I actually care about what happens to any of these characters? Not really." And then I got ice cream instead.

I love this idea. Is it lazy? Yes... a little... but a great idea, nonetheless ;)

Dr. Z: Sure. If you want it to, pumpkin.

Liz: Hilarious! People in SF are crazy.

Becks: I dunno. I would like Six Feet Under if it weren't for Rachel Griffiths and Jeremy Sisto. And I usually like The Sisto!

www: You mos def have said too much.

McGone: I think I'm giving up after season 1 because I'm with Pistols...as usual.

Pistols: See above.

MelO: Thanks, doll! Feel free to steal it.

Okay, Red. That's it. You and me. High noon.
