This (mostly) Just In...

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon get Hitched - He's 11 years her junior. This means my potential mate could just be graduating from High School this year. There is hope! (okay, I creeped myself out a little with that one).

Scarlett Johansson is Engaged - My long standing girlcrush plans to marry Ryan Reynolds (who was once engaged to Alanis Morrisette. I imagine Scar Jo is much easier to get along with. Less anger). I'm very happy for her...mainly because I was beginning to worry about her close relationship with Woody Allen. Talk about creepy.

Step away from the old man, Scarlett.

Project Runway News Gets Worse - Apparently, when the show moves to Lifetime, the producers who've made the show so great will walk. This means new producers will come aboard. Lifetime approved producers. I think we can all see where this is going and it ain't good.

The Shia Obsession Continues - Garney just informed me Shia LaBeouf will host Saturday Night Live this weekend. Now, SNL hasn't been funny in ages, but if anyone can give it a much needed boost, it's Shia. mmmm...Shia...

Gingers are Sexy - After the Gingers are Retarded debacle last week, someone found us by searching "Gingers are Sexy." Hooray! I feel I've made a breakthrough here, people.

You mean when guys get old and dumpy they won't be found attractive by smokin' hot Scar Jo types? What do have to look forward to then?

Ok, the picture kinda creeped me out too.

Does this mean Project Runway will now feature a subplot wherein the male contestants become abusive too and/or impregnate and then abandon the daughters of the female contestants, and the police refuse to do anything because, well, they're men too, thus forcing the female contestants to band together and through some combination of lighting scented candles, eating ice cream, crying and learning taekwondo - all together, as sisters - take back their lives? Because if so, I might actually start watching.

Liz, that was truly beautiful.

Hey, how come the Project Runway link is actually two links side by side? VERY SNEAKY.

I'm very disconcerted with this Project Runway development. Very concerned.

Don't let the Woody/Scarlett picture creep you out, it's entirely innocent.

He's only interested in women that are less attractive and are more his daughter.

I can't believe you missed this opportunity to say that Shia will give SNL a much needed LaBoost.

I think Christian should invest his money in Project Runway and become one of the producers. He would keep that show from turning into a Hot Lifetime Mess.

Beckeye: It's too bad Garney is married. You two would make beautiful puns together.

Liz only needed to add Meredith Baxter-Birney to that comment to make it perfect.

Also, re: Nick & Mariah - dating younger is nice, except when you get questions like, "Who's David Bowie?" That's kinda tough to answer quickly, and the kids have very short attention spans. Here's how old and white I am: I saw the headline and thought, "Jim Carrey and Dyan Cannon got married?"

The scariest thing about the Carey/Cannon union is that there's no prenup. What the hell is she thinking?

As for Shia on SNL, I'm most looking forward to the digital short. There hasn't been anything particularly memorable this year (except for Iran So Far Away), and Dear Sister was one of the better ones from last season.
