What Will You Be for Halloween?

I realize it's mid-September, but the Halloween Superstores have already popped up all over San Diego (and I assume the rest of the country...though we are trendsetters here, so don't be jealous if you have to wait another few weeks to buy your shoddily made $50 sexy witch costume, ladies (or super scary (i.e. not at all frightening) warlock costume, fellas)). I decided yesterday I'll be going somewhere this All Hallows Eve as Joan Holloway, Mad Men's resident bitch goddess.

Bring on the padded bra!

What about you? What will you be this Halloween? (and don't say you are too old for Halloween. That's just boring.)

Halloween?!? I've only just recuperated from the Fourth of July!

You do realize you're going to have to upload pictures of you as Joan, right?

I'm going as Falwless. I already have an eyepatch. Now I just need to get a damn monkey.

If you dress up as Joan Holloway, I'm going to dress up as the guy standing outside your bedroom window.

I'm too young for Halloween. Young enough to still find childishly contrarian answers like that mildly amusing.

The same thing I've been for the past five years: winded after touring the neighborhood, trailing behind two over-exuberant children.

I'm also hopeful that this year I'll be not carrying one of them.

Dr. Zibbs, you can't go as me. I won't allow it.

I bought a Jackie O costume last year but didn't wear it because it needed work and I got it like, the day before All Hallows Eve. I'm gonna try to work it this year. I'm undecided whether or not to go as "normal jackie o" or "post-assaination jackie o" and cover if with fake blood. Thoughts?

I think when you dress up as a real person, you should have a passing resemblance. This means I'll be going as The Skipper.

I usually go as the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Good Bless Halloween.

What I want to know is, will you have to do any stuffing to get the resemblance right?

My laughs were so hearty they left the page.

Fuck that was funny.

By the way I just noticed it says "Man Men."

Fal: I'll send you an extra special pic, love.

Poo: Boring!

Becks: That would be fantastic. The best part would be explaining your costume all day. "What are you? A creepy child pirate?"

Dr. Z: You can't go as BeckEye!

Jon: That prospect may make the whole idea worthwhile.

Pistols: Boring!

Mjenks: Also, boring!

Liz: I vote for normal Jackie O. We can be so sixties together. And the BF can be Kennedy and we'll find someone to be Don Draper.

www: Are you saying I don't have a passing resemblance to Joan? Thanks a lot, jerk-o.

TIR: Why would anyone want to actually catch children?

McGone: Depends on the bra and the dress.

Fal: It doesn't say "Man Men." I've no idea what you are talking about.

Liz said...

The BF refuses to do "couples costumes." He'll probably be something lame like Keanu Reeves in Point Break.

You're going as her? Shit, I was going to that also.

As if I even know who you're talking about red.

I already told you I want to be Tim Gunn for Halloween. I know I'm too fat, but I'll make it work.

This comment was funnier when I posted it before under my wife's name because she was still signed into her Gmail.
