I heard about this last night, but have actually been busy today (for a change) and didn't get a chance to comment. Apparently, everyone's favorite 80's dirty dancer, Patrick Swayze, has pancreatic cancer. Contrary to early reports, he is doing okay, "responding well to treatment" and continuing work on his TV show pilot for A&E. Here's hoping he makes a full recovery. Seeing him dance shirtless when I was 9 was the beginning of a 20 year love affair with shirtless dancing guys.

In a strange twist of fate, his co-star in Roadhouse, Jeff Healey, who is also one of Canada's best known and loved blues/rock musicians died on the weekend.
Big sad news up here.
I should say that I am pissed off at Swayze for making it manditory for men to dance. But hopefully he pulls through this and makes a movie about blowing things up and working hard to negate the mistakes in the past he's made. Y'know, for manhood everywhere.
I heard about that. Very sad.
It's only "mandatory" for men to dance if they are good at it. If you have no rhythm, it's perfectly acceptable to skip the dancing and avoid embarrassing yourself.
Aw, I like-a da Swayze. I heard this on the news last night. From what I hear, pancreatic cancer is one of the worst forms there is, but I hope he can beat it.
BE STRONG, JOHNNY CASTLE! WE LOVE YOU! YOU CAN FIGHT THIS.
P.S. I was just kiddin' bout making a post about it, but THANK YOU. We need to unite at a time like this.
We do need to come together. I planned on posting something, but the time, she got away from me...
I heard about this this morning! It's weird because I caught a few minutes of Road House on TV last night. Its like Versus knew or something. Anyhow, Get Well Patrick Swayze! You were great in Donnie Darko!
He seems like such a good guy despite the fact he looks like someone made his face out of wax. I guess no one's putting Baby in the corner just yet though.
Fancy seeing you here!
Thanks for making a "baby in the corner" joke. I tried to work one in, but failed miserably.
I sort of blame him for making me believe that shirtless dancing men are straight.
